Topamax (topiramate): This is used, sometimes with nortryptilline for prophylaxis of migraine. This med or combo i mentioned is one best for prophylaxis. Consult your dr. As each pt is different. Usually 50 mg bedtime, but each patient different. Dr.Starts low dose and titrates dose. Some require 50 mg -two. Also some dr.S add elevil or nortryptilline . Direct questions to dr. Also takes time to titrate to level helps.

50 mg twice daily: There is a range of doses, starting from as low as 25 mg daily, to 400 mg per day.
The minimum effective dose is usually 100 mg per day in 2 divided doses.
