Husband has myocarditis and coughs out a lot of phlegm to the point of vomiting at night. has a sore chest from the strain and often out of breath. how should we treat the cough ?

Carditis and cough: Find the cause of the cough and treatment follows. I do not know enough about him to be able to help and that is beyond our gal with questions/answers. Discuss with team if he is taking an ACE or an ARB if cough might be related to these. Very common. Esp in those of African decent. If so, changing meds may stop cough. Do not stop on your own. Coughing due to these runs in families as well.
