Doubtful: While any medicine can cause adverse effects, the description you provided should,not,produce side effects. More important, is the reality of your symptoms. If they are occasional, then Pepcid is,ok, but if they are consistent, please get checked out by a doc to rule out ulcer, GERD, hiatal hernia, or,other treatable conditions. Good luck
