I have been diagnosed with oxa-48, what risk does it hold for me, my wife and 4 month old baby, separately?

Difficult to treat: OXA-48 is a carbapenamase produced by bacteria which can make infections resistant to antibiotics. If you have an active infection there is a good chance that the antibiotics prescribed for you will not kill the bacteria and the infection will spread, causing more serious problems. You should be quarantined so that the bacteria cannot infect others around you. Mortality can be up to 60%.
