A member asked:

What medication can assist with stomach dumping as diet adjustments have not helped?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Several meds: If dietary adjustments have failed, may need medications. Octreotide can be given daily or monthly by injection. Slows the rate stomach empties and reduces insulin response to food. Acarbose may prevent late dumping syndrome by slowing rate of carbohydrate absorption These would need GI physician guidance.
