Testicular torsion is extremely painful testicle ,many walk in "cowboy gait', Can be intermittent but usually persists. It is medical emergency ultrasound diagnoses so you don't lose testicular function. You may have hernia, or ilioinguinal nerve impingement from exercise/ sports ( Captain Morgan's maneuver) or a sports hernia. If on the right may be appendicitis. F/u/w/ ER/MD today

Testicular torsion is a sudden intense pain in the testicle which then becomes swollen and tender and rides high. What you describe does not seem to fit torsion

If you're concerned about torsion, an ultrasound exam is usually best to identify blood flow to, and within, the testicle. It may also help identify other possible causes for pain besides torsion.
