3 days w/ pain under left rib. sometimes i dont feel it at all. feels like trapped air. i had abdominal hernia repair surgery 3 wks ago. i thought my pants were tight & causing pain when sitting & when i lay back it feels better. can it be spleen?

Under left rib: Symptoms under or below the left rib cage can come from pathology in the base of the left lung, the spleen, or from abdominal muscle strain, or from gas buildup in the splenic flexure of the colon. However, since you had abdominal surgery only 3 weeks ago, I want your surgeon to examine you for any postop complications such as hematoma, retained sutures, abscess. Injured nerves may be healing.
