Azithromycin: No worries at all. Azithromycin (Zithromax) often causes temporary cramping, diarrhea, etc. It won't last long, and does not interfere with its effectiveness against chlamydia. However, you need to know that azithromycin fails to cure about 5% of chlamydia in women, even more if the rectum happens to be infected. Get retested in a few weeks (but no sooner than 3 weeks after treatment).
