Allergic reaction.: Yes should try to get in touch with your neurologist or a covering physician. If it is a medication you have been on then it is not recommended to be stopped suddenly without switching to another med, but if it is a new one then it can be stopped but needs to be substituted with another medication.

Risky to stop: A patient like yourself who is taking anti-seizure medication would be at risk for seizures if the med is just stopped without substituting another Med. Definitely try to ask the neurologist covering for your Dr!
