Orthopedics: Knee injury resulting in decreased range of motion can indicate that there is a serious problem. Consult your PCP for initial evaluation. They may choose to refer you to an Orthopedic specialist. An in person exam is vital to diagnosis, since there are a variety of mobility tests they can conduct to determine exactly which part of your knee is injured.

Knee injury: Likely meniscal tear, recommend knee brace, ice, rest , anti-inflammatories and physical therapy. If symptoms do not improve please see an orthopedist.

Orthopedic surgeon: You don't mention when and how you injured your knee, but your symptoms are characteristic of serious injury, an internal derangement within the joint such as a torn meniscus. Consult an orthopedic surgeon for evaluation & treatment. An MRI will most likely be recommended. In the me, apply cold application 20 minutes off and on, elevate the leg and take anti-inflammatory medication like ibuprofen
