How long does it take to fully recover from a broken tibia. break is 5 inches above foot and it didn't need any surgery and was put in a full leg cast?

3-6 weeks: Healing time for bones depends on the individual, the type of fracture (displaced vs non-displaced), and how the bone was set before it began to heal. Since your fracture did not require a surgical, or open reduction, it should heal within this time period unless for some reason, you are a slow healer... 8 to 12 weeks: 8 to 12 weeks to heal on average. However, X-rays will be needed to determine when you have healed. Some patients can take as long as 6 months. Make sure you completely follow your physicians instructions regarding non-weight bearing etc..
