Burning knee pain: Any pain associated with a burning or tingling sensation is probably a nerve. But, that does not imply it is coming from a problem in the spine. Is there a rash? Could be shingles, especially if very localized pain. Nerve injury or pressure outside the spine may also cause this type of pain. Other causes: neuropathy, and poor circulation.
