A member asked:

Went to spine dr. today about the spine he says, that the burning pain is not coming from there, had esi it is 8 days nothing, still have, says it is kne?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Burning knee pain: Any pain associated with a burning or tingling sensation is probably a nerve. But, that does not imply it is coming from a problem in the spine. Is there a rash? Could be shingles, especially if very localized pain. Nerve injury or pressure outside the spine may also cause this type of pain. Other causes: neuropathy, and poor circulation. Bad hip can cause knee pain (not usually burning).
