Additional help: You are going through very stressful times, and you need some test to function properly. I suggest in addition to the sleep med, you look into short term therapy to give you some professional assistance in sorting things out. They can also assess whether other medications might be useful. Finally, read up on meditation and consider that to help alleviate some of your stress.

Agree with Dr. M: In addition to psychiatric help you need to exercise regularly. It is last thing one feels like doing when depressed, but it you can push yourself to start your day with 30 minutes of aerobic exercise, it will do wonders for your mood and energy. Wish you good health!

AXIOM TO RECALL: The advice given is good. Recall: It is not stress that determines your quality of life (we all have stress), but how you resolve the stress that counts!. Try Melatonin 3-5Gm and lemon-flavored hot tea 30 min before bedtime, avoid red lights in you bedroom ans spicy foods at dinner. Your insomnia will pass!
