Sometimes: Mostly, if you are looking specifically for Arachnoid cyst, then diffusion weighted MRI is done. Otherwise CT with contrast can also be done.

Yes: Brain tumors are amongst the most common fears but least likely diagnoses of the so-called "worried well" and that population is dominated by 18-22-year-old males. If you made it to 20 years and are healthy then you have the world by the proverbial gonads. Rather than "ruling out" possible threats take minor symptoms in stride and only pursue the ones that stop you in your track and don't let up.
