A member asked:

Pain at the back of my neck which radiates to the top of my head, sometimes feels like a burning sensation. often the pain at the back of my neck is accompanied by lumps. if you rub on the neck, you can feel the lumps?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Neck pain: Pain at the back of the neck can be because of bad posture if you are working on a computer most of the day or other musculoskeletal causes. You can apply heat packs and see if the pain and lump goes away. Difficult to say what the lump might be without examining. Nerves from the neck go up in the head so sometimes if they get pinched the pain radiates up. Again heating packs can help.
