I have noticed that my big toenails are discolored and have a rigid like layered texture. this happened after i got a pedicure. i would like to know what this possibly could be, i cut some of the nail and its growing back i cant tell if its better?

Fungal infection: Discolored, thickened, cracking nails can be indicative of a Fungal Infection. The fungus could easily have been introduced during the last pedicure and has been growing since then. There are a few types of over the counter antifungal nail treatments that you paint on like nail polish and the medication enters the nail over days and weeks, killing off the fungus and allowing new nail to grow.
