Venous insufficiency: Damage to the venous system returning blood to the heart from the legs. Medication can also cause this.

Get a physician: If there is swelling in both feet and legs, please see your primary care physician as soon as possible. If you have a trouble breathing along with swelling in both legs, please go to the nearest emergency room and the er physician will do a complete workup for you.

Leg edemas at 70: Possibilities are: cardiac with congestive heart failure, severe liver disease, kidney disease, bilateral chronic venous insufficiency ( varicose veins), also low Albumin or protein, standing for long periods, increased sodium or sal diet, and others?
