Butrans side effects: Most likely due to too much buprenophine (bup) in the system, seen more commonly during initiation in the opiate naive. Nausea, vomiting, dizziness are common side effects shared by all opiates including bup. There is a potential for bup to precipitate withdrawal in patients already receiving long acting opiates, but less likley in this case.
