COVID 19: In one study 22% of the 328 COVID 19 patients who received pulmonary CT angiography had pulmonary embolism. 72% were in patients who did not require care in ICU. REF: https://www.medpagetoday.com/infectiousdisease/covid19/86535. If symptoms are quite mild it is much less likely.

Embolism: Some clinicians are now considering recommendation for taking low dose aspirin ( unless there are contraindications) which may reduce incidence of thromboembolism during covid infection. Although not as effective against venous system blood clots as actual anticoagulants are and not truly evidence based, taking low dose aspirin is something to be considered during covid infection.
