Jaundice?: Jaundice or "yellow skin" can be a sign of an underlying liver condition. See your primary care Dr for full evaluation and labs to determine what the cause is. If your Dr determines that he needs a specialist, then they will refer you to the appropriate one.

Carotenodermia: Appears likely if his eyes are not yellow, too. If eyes are yellow, hepatitis is likely. Best would be to have him evaluated by his pediatrician who will be able to further conduct a workup as needed.

Agree with Dr. P: If his eyes are not yellow, carotenemia is a likely reason. He should also be evaluated for thyroid deficiency which may be a factor in carotenemia. See his pediatrician. For you: Have a healthy diet, exercise 30 minutes/day, drink plenty of water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs.
