Vocal Hygiene: Proper voice hygiene is very important for healthy vocal cords. Give your voice frequent rests. Stay hydrated, drink water as much as you can. Avoid or minimize caffeine and alcohol. No smoking at all. Use a humidifier where you teach and sing. Exercise and eat healthy, this will minimize silent reflux which can slowly and silently affect your voice. Use your diaphragm more to sing. Hope this help
