My 16-month old started walking funny all of a sudden today, like his foot is hurt.when we press the foot and ankle he doesn't respond as if in pain but he kind of drags the foot when he walks.any advice?seems painful as he moans?

Concerned: Sudden changes in gait in toddlers is ne er normal and needs to be evaluated soon. If no fever, can probably wait until tomorrow when doctor's office is open. If seems in pain in hip or knee, or if any fever over 100.5, then he needs to be evaluated immediately in the ER. He could have infection in hip or toxic synovitis of hop, but imaging and blood tests likely needed to pinpoint cause.
