Depends on cause: The Temporomandibular joint is unique in behavior. Dysfunction may have anatomic causes, parafunctional causes, occlusion driven dysfunction, neuro-muscular disorders, etc. Treatment is cause dependent. It's not one size fits all. Please see a practitioner with expertise in treating joint dysfunction.
