I have hsv1 and get break outs about once a year only on my lip. i met someone who has hsv1 as well but she gets body breakouts and on her anus. already having the virus can it spread to other parts of my body and how common is it to do that?

HSV transmission: Are you sure your potential partner's herpes is definitely HSV1, not HSV2? Genital or anal HSV1 usually has only rare outbreaks, usually less than once a year. HSV2 tends to be more frequent. If she definitely has HSV1, then neither of you can infect the other. People are immune to repeat infection, anywhere on the body, with the HSV type they already have. Maybe retest partner's HSV type.
