Possible, uncommon: It is possible for recurrent herpes to cause outbreaks in different places, but not common. Recurrent herpes commonly involves the lips but rarely the eyes, so this makes me wonder whether the earlier diagnosis of HSV1 of the eye was correct. See your doctor if there is doubt about the diagnosis in either location.
