Oral herpes lesions are usually contracted (even if the genital lesions are type II) due to inadvertent (unconscious) touching of the oral mucous membranes (lips) via casual contact with actual genital areas, as the genital infection is transmittable prior to actual herpes type ulceration is present. In any case, "soapy water" will not be the cause of transmission.
