A member asked:

Hello, my husband was diagnosed with covid-19 this week. he is isolating from us in the house. i have a mild cough which started prior to his diagnosis and it's improving. hence i doubt it's associated. do i need to get tested at this point or wait?

COVID 19: In South Africa- one consults with a medical provider who will determine need for COVID 19 testing. Consult your local primary care provider or you can use telemedicine for individual consultations. You could have had a mild case of COVID 19 that even preceded your husband's diagnosis. I would quarantine. You may or may not be approved for testing.
