Revisit the surgeon: The most likely answer is that the pain and discomfort has something to do with the recent surgery. Gall bladder is an organ tucked into the underside of the liver which sits under the diaphragm a large muscle separating the chest from the abdomen. If there is a problem in this area, pain can radiate up to the right shoulder/chest area. Check with surgeon to see if there is a retained stone.
