My ggt is 68 and ast is 35, al other liver function test are normal. i'm a patient of hepatitis c. is this level of ggt presents livers damage? is it repairable? my next test is due after 28 days of medicine.can i expect a normal ggt?

Not necessarily: With hepatitis C, it can affect liver enzymes. After 28 days of medicine, GGT may not go back to normal , but is typically not used to monitor progress or assess damage for hepatitis c infection. After initiating treatment your labs will be monitored to make sure you are tolerating the meds well. Liver function improving depends on how it was before treatment. Fibroscan is often used to monitor.
