My husband woke up yesterday with a purple dot bruise on upper eyelid, during the day it got bigger. this morning it looks a little lighter, but still a large area of the upper eyelid. is this cause for concern? it has happened before

Spontaneous bleeding: Most likely, there was unconscious rubbing if the eyelid which caused a small hemorrhage in the eyelid which appears to be clearing. In the absence of other spontaneous bruising or changes in vision, this does not require medical attention
