Painful periods: 32: If your periods are painful, and you have attempted pregnancy for "over a year", at age 32, your tubes may be blocked. First make sure your partner has a semen analysis, and if normal, ask your gyn provider for a hysterosalpingogram (HSG) to evaluate your tubes. This test can also create open tubes by flushing the tubes with sterile saline.
