A member asked:

I recently found out that i was vitamin d deficient. my levels read 22 l on my blood test results. the normal range listed on the results is 30-100 ng/ml. should i begin taking vitamin d supplements? if so, what dose and how often?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below: Take 4000 units of vitamin D3 each day for 3 months and after that 2000 units/day will keep you vitamin D sufficient. Have a healthy diet, exercise 30 minutes/day, drink plenty of water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. For nutrition: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/. Get HPV vaccine. Wish you good health!
