How can a person be in the hospital for heart problems, had 4 chest x-rays normal blood work 4 times. 2 months later dxed with lung cancer with mets to liver and spine. trying hard to understand this i keep thinking something was missing?

Type of cancer: Small cell cancer of the lung can grow and spread rapidly and create the picture you described. The response to any disease, including lung cancer is genetically controlled. What you described is not common but not unheard of.
