Interaction: Is possible as ibuprofen can enhance the side effects of metformin and therapy while still possible needs to be tightly monitored. Specific side effects of each drug remain possible as well.

Other health issues?: For someone who’s 26 years old and has no other health conditions (kidney, liver, or heart) these two meds are typically fine together. Another instance where one has to be cautious is with certain additional medications. If you’re considering the two together, make sure your doctor knows, and consider having a pharmacist review your whole list of meds with all of your health conditions in mind.
