I was yawning really big and the back of my throat hurt - like it was being pulled too tight, then i yawned again and i heard a small popping type of noise in the back of my neck. is it possible i hurt anything? i dont feel pain now?

Doubtful: Yarning can cause the Eustachian tube to open and possibility could be source of pop. Pain is a good indicator that you did something that isn't too good.
