A member asked:

My 2 month old is refusing bottle, is it too early to start her on solids?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No rush: The push to feed solids is cultural & became popular in the 50's when mom's didn't breastfeed & made their own formula. Docs pushed solids to make up for its poor nutritional balance. Many cultures breast feed only until well past a year & their kids go directly to table foods. Turn the bottle over & see if it drips as it should. If the holes are too small it may have to struggle to eat.
