A member asked:

If hdpe recycled plastic is accidently cooked in your food daily for an year or so, would you get cancer because of eating that food? or is recycled and virgin hdpe completely safe?

OK?: HDPE is considered to be non-toxic and non-carcinogenic. However who knows what cooking it in your food can create. HDPE, as it is very stable, is used safely as a container for food, but it's not intended to be ingested.
