Burning plastics: Hi, it seems unlikely unless you are exposed to high concentrations for prolonged periods of time - similar to things like asbestosis and cigarette smoking, which is still the leading cause of lung cancer. That being said, there are still other very harmful chemicals released when plastics are burned and you should avoid exposure if at all possible. Hope this helps.
