Teething: Typically the first teeth to come in are the two bottom front ones. They start to come in around 6 months. Your son could have them coming in early or getting ready to come in early and this discomfort could cause him to start teething in his 4th month. Most likely though, he's enjoying the sensation of chewing on anything.

Yes. : It is possible. If you are asking because he is drooling and putting his fists in his mouth it is good to remember that this is normal 4 mo old behavior and not a sign if teething. All 4 mo olds do this. Teething can start at birth (rare) or until 12 months. If asking cause u see him fussy, it may be teething or something else. So long as he doesn't have fever, is eating and breathing well he's ok.

Yes: Babies begin to drool alot right around 4 months, but the first tooth typically doesn't come up until closer to 6 months. Massage your baby's gums, provide him/ her with teething toys even a washcloth damp with water is soothing. If teething is causing discomfort you can check with your baby's doctor for the appropriate dose of tyelenol.

Possibly: A lot of times parents think their babies are teething when they see a lot of drool. At this age they produce a lot of saliva and could not swallow them as fast as it is being produced.Best defense is to drool it out rather than get choked.Babies will also be gnawing and gumming on toys, fists etc.The earliest tooth I have seen erupted was 3.5 months old.

Yes, it's possible: The average age for teething is 6 months. But, some kids are even born with a tooth. Others get teeth at 4 months and some much much later. Lots of variation in this one. Cheers. Dr j.
