Avoid crackers: Crackers, biscuits, cookies, etc..., are not needed for any baby, and can choke a baby. Babies do not need any sort of "teething biscuit". If one wants to try solid items, first give one cheerio soaked soft in milk. As time goes by, a baby gains experience and can handle less soggy (firmer) cheerios.

Rice teething biscui: If your baby does not have teeth yet, this is a great time to start on baby teething biscuits that dissolve easily. Many pediatricians recommend starting with a single grain like rice as it is gluten free.
