See your Dr ASAP: Talk to your Dr so that you can start PrEP. (prophylactic HIV meds to prevent illness) They can also schedule you for an HIV test. An antigen/antibody test performed by a laboratory on blood from a vein can usually detect HIV infection 18 to 45 days after an exposure. You can repeat the test at 6 months to verify no infection.
