All Veneers-: First, "lumineers" are merely a brand name with a lot of marketing. It's the expertise of the dentist and the lab technician that matter most! veneers are more of a cosmetic covering of teeth, although they can be used to partially replace chips, worn or decayed parts of teeth. Veneers usually just cover the front parts of teeth, although they do wrap around to the back somewhat.

Veneer material: Lumineers are mainly used as a no to slight prep veneers material and do not cover much of the back side of the tooth. It can add strength to a broken tooth depending on how much of the tooth is broken. A crown may be indicated if too much of the tooth is broken.

Ceramic cover.: Lumeneers are thin ceramic covers that envelope your teeth and help them look and function better. However, if you have a problem with breaking your teeth due to a habit or sports trauma, then you might consider going with a full coverage ceramic crown to protect that broken tooth even better.
