A member asked:

I had an mri that showed i have an anterior dislocation of the right humerus as well as a posterior dislocation of the left humerus, is it likely that surgery would be the best option?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Discuss with ortho : Having both anterior and posterior dislocation would suggest malformed shoulder sockets, unless major force was involved to cause it. These decisions of surgical vs non surgical treatment are TOO IMPORTANT to consider without speaking directly to an orthopoedist who has your xrays and history in front of him/her and YOU. Get a complete understanding of risks/benefits of your options. Good luck
