Normal variation: Vestibular papillomatosis refers to small, painless, skin-colored bumps, or papules, that develop on the vulva. They are not related to HPV and are found in up to 33% of women. Vestibular papillomatosis is not a disease or abnormality, and it is not dangerous in any way. As such, it does not require any treatment. Cosmetic surgery can be done to remove them using laser or cryosurgery.
