Does tretinoin cream treatment help to cure sun tan darkness that got formed many years back? if not, what can be used?

No: Tretinoin does not remove pigmentation even if it is sun induced. A definite diagnosis of the condition need to made, and then the appropriate treatment can be given. It is possible the tretinoin may act as an adjuvant and help the treatment. At any rate it is important to use an effective sunscreen.
