Had surgery on my hand for a broken metacarpal were the thumb is and it was the shaft and they put plaits and hardware screws and plate and it happened 1 year ago and it hurts and there is a wired bump were it is and it hurts when i work?

Long term discomfort is typical in Open Reduction and Fixation repairs of broken bones, but your surgeon can offer you options as to how to treat the pain including revision surgery to remove the plates/screws now that your bone has healed or other treatments.
