Not Necessary: While boiling everything that goes into a baby's mouth is common, it is not necessarily useful. Washing things with warm water and soap and rinsing thoroughly is usually enough. Remember that your newborn is protected by maternal antibodies still circulating in his body, and that breastfeeding provides a hefty dose of immunoglobulins that also protect them.
