A member asked:

I had bloodwork on friday and my creatinine serum and chloride serum were both high, does that mean i could have cushings syndrome or something wrong with my pituitary gland? been trying to talk doctors into checking it for yrs, do i have proof of it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pituitary gland: When we see an elevated serum creatinine our attention is directed to kidney disease or to medications which may affect kidney function, but pituitary gland disorders are not usually part of the differential diagnosis. Signs of pituitary problems vary, can be visual disturbances, headaches, weight gain, facial coarseness, moon face, hypertension, low potassium, menstrual problem, etc. ?See endocrinol
