Limited info. : An echocardiogram can have findings concerning for pulmonary hypertension. However, it is the not the official test for diagnosing pulmonary hypertension nor should treatment of pulmonary hypertension be initiated based on the echocardiogram results. The best test for this is cardiac catheterization, specifically a right heart cath, done by a specialist.
