What will a ct scan of heart/lungs show.....that an echocardiogram cannot?

Many: Echocardiogram asseses heart function and structure. Ct of the chest looks at the lungs as well as other structures in the chest. Coronary ct looks at calcifications in the coronary arteries which may be indicator of heart disease. Echo does not show this.

Sound waves: Are transmitted and reflected with echoes, sonograms, or ultrasound exams...Each specialty uses a different name. Bones and air blunt or mute sound tech. Useless for lungs. Ct tech is reliable and reproducible...But uses x-rays & more expensive.
